At La Salle School Homa Bay, we believe that education goes beyond academics to equip learners with practical life skills essential for holistic growth. Our Home Science Club stands as a testimony to this commitment, providing learners with hands-on experiences that prepare them for everyday life and future pathways.
The Home Science Club is an engaging platform where learners explore various aspects of Home Science, including food and nutrition, health care, and general home management.
Recently, the club has embraced the use of green energy cooking through our E-Cooking Home Science Lab, promoting environmental conservation while exposing learners to modern, safe, and efficient cooking technologies. Learners have prepared a variety of nutritious meals while learning about healthy eating habits, kitchen hygiene, and food presentation – skills they carry with pride to their homes and future studies.
Through the Home Science Club, our learners develop creativity, teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving abilities. They gain confidence in managing real-life situations, which is critical as they transition to Junior School and Senior School where Home Science remains a core pathway under CBC.
We are proud of the dedication and enthusiasm our learners continue to demonstrate in the club.
At La Salle School Homa Bay, we remain committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically competent but also equipped with skills for daily life, self-reliance, and service to their families and communities.
